Overview
Farm Kalkfontein 53 forms part of SACO Mining's expanding exploration portfolio. The project is progressing through the early stages of geological assessment to better understand its mineral potential and guide future exploration activities.
EXPLORATION IN PROGRESS
CURRENT FIELD ACTIVITIES
The Rietfontein exploration programme is currently progressing through a planned seven-hole diamond drilling campaign. Drilling is being completed under JORC-aligned supervision, with rigorous geological logging, core handling and quality control procedures supporting the collection of reliable exploration data.
Diamond Drilling
Precision diamond drilling is underway to access subsurface geology, allowing us to collect high-quality core samples and better understand the mineral potential at depth.
Geological Logging
Detailed geological logging of drill core is conducted on site to record rock types, structures, alteration, and mineralisation — building an accurate picture of the subsurface.
Core Sampling
Selected intervals of drill core are carefully sampled and prepared for laboratory analysis to determine mineral content and guide further exploration decisions.
Technical Evaluation
All geological data, assay results, and field observations are systematically evaluated to refine targets, assess resource potential, and support informed project advancement.
